Terms of Service
The agreement between your business and DevOps Crowd Inc. for using xDiscount. The full terms are below; here is the short version.

Usage based
Plans differ by how many discounts can be active at once, how many discounted orders are included each month, and one plan-bound feature: priority support, on Scale. The storefront offer card, Connect AI and analytics are on every plan.

No surprise charges
Paid plans bill a small fee per discounted order above your monthly allowance, up to a monthly cap you approve in advance through Shopify. There is no free trial, and Free has no overage at all.

Your data stays yours
You keep ownership of your store, catalog, and customer data. We use it to run the service for you, and never to train foundation models.

Leave whenever
Uninstall at any time. Downgrading to Free is how you stop paying, and your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of xDiscount, operated by DevOps Crowd Inc. By installing or using xDiscount from the Shopify App Store, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you use xDiscount on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for that business.
Service description
xDiscount is a product discount engine for Shopify. It lets you run percentage off, fixed amount off, buy X get Y, and free shipping discounts, gate them with item quantity, cart value and inventory conditions, schedule them with a start date and an end date in your store's timezone, order them by priority, render a storefront offer card through a theme app extension on every plan, apply the resulting price through a Shopify Function at checkout on every plan, connect your own AI assistant through typed tools on every plan, and measure performance with analytics. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Eligibility and your account
You need an active Shopify store to use xDiscount. You are responsible for your account, for the accuracy of the information you provide, and for any connected services, including any AI assistant you choose to connect and any action it takes with a Connect AI key you generated. You must keep your credentials secure and are responsible for activity under your account.
Plans, pricing, and payment
xDiscount offers Free, Starter, Growth, and Scale plans, priced by usage. Plans differ by how many discounts can be active at once, how many discounted orders are included each month, and one plan-bound feature: priority support (Scale). The storefront offer card, Connect AI and analytics are included on every plan, Free included. A discounted order is an order where xDiscount actually reduced the price. There is no free trial on any plan. The Free plan is free for as long as you stay on it, and a paid plan starts billing when you approve the charge on Shopify's approval screen. On Free there is no overage and nothing is ever charged: past the monthly allowance your live promotions keep running exactly as before. On paid plans, discounted orders above your allowance are billed at your plan's per-order rate up to a monthly cap you approve in advance through Shopify, and past that cap your promotions keep running and nothing further is owed, so you are never handed an unbounded bill. Billing runs through Shopify's own billing and appears on your regular Shopify bill, and a plan change reaches the app over Shopify's subscription webhook. Founding merchants lock in lifetime founder pricing. Reinstalling never silently restores a paid plan without a confirmed subscription. If you connect your own AI assistant, any AI usage costs are billed to you directly by your provider.
Service availability
The service is provided as is and as available, features may change, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Our checkout Function is designed to fail closed, which means that where a rule cannot be evaluated no discount is applied. We will use reasonable efforts to keep the service running and your data safe.
Acceptable use
You must use xDiscount for lawful commerce purposes and comply with all applicable laws, the Shopify terms, and the consumer protection and pricing-display rules in your markets. You are responsible for the products, prices, discounts, and schedules you publish, and for ensuring your offers and any messaging are accurate and lawful. You may not misuse, reverse engineer, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, and you may not attempt to write discount records by any route other than the app's own validated interfaces.
Your data and content
You retain ownership of your store data, your catalog, and your customer data. You grant us a limited license to access and process that data solely to provide and improve the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your data to train foundation models.
Intellectual property
xDiscount, including its software, design, and content, is owned by DevOps Crowd Inc. and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app while your account is active. You may not copy, resell, or create derivative works from the app except as permitted by law.
Third-party services
xDiscount works with third-party services, including Shopify and any AI assistant or provider you connect. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or actions. Costs charged by a provider you connect are your responsibility.
Disclaimers
xDiscount is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that discounts will increase your sales or protect your margin, as outcomes depend on your store, products, pricing, and the rules you set.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, xDiscount and DevOps Crowd Inc. are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DevOps Crowd Inc. from claims arising out of your use of xDiscount, your products and offers, your discounts, prices, and schedules, your content, or your breach of these terms or applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using xDiscount and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or to protect the service or other users. On termination, your right to use the app ends, your Connect AI key stops working, and we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product and the law evolve. We will post the updated version with a new effective date, and your continued use of xDiscount after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the applicable laws of Canada. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Montreal, Quebec, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
